easyJet introduces new cabin baggage guarantee

From 2 July this year, easyJet will be introducing changes to their cabin baggage policy. The maximum size for cabin baggage hasn't changed and they won't be introducing an additional charge. But what they are introducing is that bags of a smaller size will be guaranteed onboard in the cabin. Bigger than this and your bag may go into the hold. Read on to find out more...

Feel good flying with Norwegian Air Shuttle

Norwegian Air Shuttle are now flying across Europe and although relatively new on the scene, they're already the third biggest budget airline on the continent. Having been mightily impressed with the latest airline making London Gatwick its base, I thought I'd write about my first flight with them. Free on board WiFi and even free cancellation up to 4 hours after booking... It's low-cost flying but different!

Virgin launches Little Red with flight to Edinburgh

Aiming to introduce a little stiff competition across the UK domestic flying market, Virgin Atlantic have launched Little Red. The new service will fly between London Heathrow and Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Manchester. easyJet move to shut its check-in desks

Flying with easyJet after 30 April? Remember to check-in online and print your boarding pass beforehand! easyJet have announced that they will be changing their check-in desks to bag drop only desks from the end of this month. It's something Ryanair have already been doing for years but in contrast, easyJet have said that they will not be also be introducing a charge for checking in at the airport.

The fare generally includes your in-flight services - as well as your check-in luggage. But as British Airways extends their hand baggage only fare to more routes and KLM charging extra for check-in baggage soon, are these a sign of things to come?

Flying south to sunny Alicante with Norwegian Air

Only think of flying Norwegian Air to destinations north of here? Well, they're actually a great choice for sunshine destinations south with several routes to Spain. As well as already having a big presence with routes to Malaga and Gran Canaria, Norwegian Air will start flying London Gatwick to Alicante Airport this year. Mediator steps in to Iberia dispute
