Atocha Station car hire
Whether you’re arriving into Madrid by train or just want to enjoy the city on foot and by public transport, a Madrid Atocha Railway Station car hire is perfect for day trips out of the city or even to drive over to the coast for one of those things that Spain is so famous for – its beaches!
Here, we have a quick run-through collecting and dropping off your car hire at Madrid Atocha Railway Station.

Jungle in the city
Even if you’re not using the station to catch a train, it’s worth having a wander around the main waiting area of the station – you might be surprised to find a mini-jungle there!
The biggest station in Madrid, it’s a big transport hub with both commuter and inter-city trains, the Metro, buses including the Airport Express as well as taxis and car hire available from there. The station is huge and is made up of two terminals. Car hire can be found in the newer, smaller terminal (not the one with the jungle!) but both terminals are connected through walkways so you might not even notice you’ve moved from one to the other.

Puerta de Atocha
From inside the station, follow signs to Puerta de Atocha, car parks P2 or P3 or if you spot them, signs to car rental.

You’ll eventually find yourself in the newer terminal – quite noticeable as it’s white walls make it lots brighter than the old terminal. On entering, you just need to go left to car hire – just like the sign above says!
From outside of the station, you’ll find them closest to the entrance / exit for Avenida Ciudad de Barcelona. This entrance is behind the main entrance of the station – you’ll find two giant baby heads outside the Ciudad de Barcelona entrance / exit… so you can’t miss it!
