Driving to the airport

Junction 28 exit to Glasgow Airport

To access the airport, you just need to exit the M8 at Junction 28.

First roundabout after Junction 28

You'll come across two roundabouts before getting to the airport. At the first roundabout, take the first exit and go straight ahead towards the terminal building.

Welcome!

You'll see this welcome sign as you approach the second roundabout - the exit you take depends on which zone you need to return your car hire to!

Zone A or Zone B?

Zone B car hire returns

St Andrew's Drive West

If you need to return your car hire to zone B, at the next roundabout, take the first exit onto St Andrew's Drive West.

Each car hire company has its own car park along this road  so you just need to look out for your car hire company's sign and turn left when you get to the relevant car park. The first car park you'll come across is Avis.

Next up is the car park for Hertz

Alamo, Europcar and National car hire

And although I said each car hire company has its own car park… I lied! Alamo, Europcar and National share the same car park (they share the same car hire desk at the airport too!)

Zone A car hire returns

If you're returning a car hire to Zone A, at that second roundabout (with the welcome to Glasgow Airport sign), you'll need to take the third exit onto St Andrew's Drive. As you drive down this road, you'll see a multi-storey car park on your left.

Car hire returns for zone A

Car hire companies here share the same car park - the entrance for which will come up very shortly on your left. The airport terminal is just across the road from the other side of this car park.

You should be able to return the keys and sort out any other additional paperwork on-site at the car park but if not, you can head to the car hire desks inside the terminal. They are located right by the domestic arrivals exit on the ground floor.
