Tourism Ireland say escape the madness - what will you do?

19 July 2012 By Luna Dizon
With just days to go to the Olympics in London, Tourism Ireland tell Londoners to escape the madness. See the video (I think it's pretty funny!) here... if you're in London, what will you be doing? And if you are heading to the emerald isle - see what I found and loved in a visit to Dublin. It's a bigger and better city than you think - and you can explore more of it with a Dublin car hire!

Get seafood happy in Howth

07 June 2012 By Luna Dizon
Love the sea? Better yet, love seafood?? If you're heading to or thinking of a trip to Dublin, don't miss Howth in the north of Dublin County. Not only is there spectacular coastline, great walks and plenty of spots on one of the three piers to contemplate all its beauty, there is an abundance of really good seafood restaurants. Being a still working fishing town, the seafood's super fresh and super tasty! I try out the sea bream in Beshoffs of Howth. Howth is only a 25 minute drive in your Dublin car hire from Dublin city.

The wit and wisdom of Oscar Wilde

06 June 2012 By Luna Dizon
An absolute gem of a park to visit is Merrion Square Park in Dublin. You'll probably end up in Merrion Square at some point on your visit to Dublin to enjoy the Georgian town houses (complete with colourful doors!) that surround the park or to visit the National Museum of Natural History. But you must also make sure you take a stroll inside the park. You'll find interesting monuments with interesting stories. My favourite though has to be the Oscar Wilde statue with two nearby sculptures with his sayings on them.

Let Oscar Wilde teach you something new or remind you about the important things in life like only a true Wit can.
